Gods Perfect Plan for You!

We at The Church at Skyline take the Gospel seriously. The question “What is the Gospel?” is perhaps the most important question a person can ask. The word Gospel literally means “good news.” It is the plan that God has designed to save sinful humans from eternal separation from Him. If you are unsure of where you will go after our time on this earth has come to end, we encourage you to continue reading to find out how you can have a HOME in Heaven.

Realize that God loves you.

John 3:16 says,“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

The Bible teaches that regardless of your background, age, race or any other factor, God loves you. He desires a genuine, personal relationship with you.

Realize that all have sined.

The Bible says in Romans 3:23,"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,"

No one is sinless. We have all broken God’s commandments. This is called sin or iniquity, and it separates us from having a relationship with God.

Realize that our sin must be paid for.

Romans 6:23 contrasts eternal life with eternal death. It says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Good news: Jesus Christ paid for our sin.

Romans 5:8 tells us that, “But God demonstrates (proved) His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

God’s justice demands that sin be paid for, but in His mercy, the Lord Jesus Christ took our penalty for us.

You can pray and receive Christ as your personal Savior.

Eternal life is not earned or achieved by our own merit.  All that was necessary to gain access to Heaven was completed in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The gift of eternal life was purchased and is now offered to all freely. All of man’s attempts to gain eternal life fall short.

Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Many say that they “believe in God,” but there is a difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge. The Bible word “believe” means “to trust in” or “depend upon.” Call upon the Lord in faith, trusting in His promise. He will save you from an eternity separated from Himself if you sincerely ask Him.

Romans 10:13 For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

This is God’s promise… “SHALL BE SAVED” It’s not a maybe or a might be.  God’s promises always come to pass!Don’t wait!  Accept God’s gift right NOW!  No one is assured of tomorrow. Don’t put it off. Since this determines eternal life with Christ or eternal death in hell, don’t you want to pray right now?

Dear Lord, I admit that I am a sinner. I understand I cannot earn my salvation. I agree that you are the only way to have eternal life in Heaven. Please forgive me of all my sin and save me. I place my trust in you alone. I accept your free gift of salvation by faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, we would love to rejoice with you.

Tell us the good news!
